Bremont Altitude MB Meteor 42mm Automatic Mens Watch

29-40-08101646

The Altitude MB Meteor is that engineering pedigree in its most purposeful, and quietly menacing, form. Only 400 of this Stealth Grey edition will ever be made.

The 42mm case is forged from Grade 2 titanium, lighter and warmer on the wrist than steel, with an ultra-matt grey coating that reads closer to graphite. Bremont’s signature Trip-Tick construction builds it in three separate parts, here with a knurled black DLC central barrel that adds grip and contrast in equal measure. Within it, an anti-shock mount cradles the movement against impact, an anti-magnetic ring guards its accuracy, and the rotating timing bezel is operated cleanly from the crown at four o’clock rather than an outer ring.

The dial is the signature of the piece. Its surface is embossed with a texture scanned directly from a genuine meteorite, so the pattern is drawn from something billions of years old, and no two watches catch the light in quite the same way. Applied numerals and indices glow with blue-emission Super-LumiNova, while the yellow, lollipop-tipped seconds hand is a direct nod to the ejection handle a pilot reaches for in an emergency. A softly domed, anti-reflective glass box sapphire crystal finishes it.

Powering all of it is Bremont’s calibre BB14-AH, an automatic movement with a generous 68-hour power reserve. Water resistant to 100 metres and worn on a quick-release titanium bracelet in the same stealth grey, it is a serious watch for someone who values engineering and story over flash. One of just 400 in the world, and all the more collectable for it.
