Brown presence has been part of Doncaster’s varied retail journey since the 1920s, when it joined forces with the Bell Brothers business established in 1781 by the well respected watchmaker Joseph Bell, who worked for some time under the famous Thomas Mudge. A major refurbishment took place in Spring 2023 and the store is now known solely as H. L. Brown Doncaster.
