Sharkhunter is one of Doxa’s oldest dial names, reserved since the late 1960s for black, and this is its most characterful form. Doxa helped define the modern dive watch with its 1967 SUB 300, a Swiss diving icon built for everyday divers rather than the military, and the SUB 200 II carries that lineage forward. The Vintage takes the black fume Sharkhunter and gives it a deliberately retro treatment, so it looks like a well-loved diver from decades past while being built entirely to modern standards.

The character is in the details. The hands and markers are filled with a warm, aged tone lume that echoes the soft cream patina older dive watches develop over years of wear, giving it a genuine vintage feel straight out of the box. It comes on a woven steel mesh bracelet, a classic dive-watch choice that drapes comfortably on the wrist and suits the era the design recalls. The black dial itself is smoked rather than flat, a fume finish that darkens from centre to edge with a fine moire texture, all sitting beneath a domed glass box sapphire crystal, anti-reflective and softly raised, that gives the watch its unmistakable retro silhouette.

Under the vintage looks it is every bit a proper tool diver. The 44mm case is high-grade 316L stainless steel with a screw-down crown and case back, a unidirectional rotating bezel carrying a corrosion-resistant aluminium insert, and water resistance to a true 200 metres. A Swiss automatic movement drives it, with around 38 hours of power reserve. A distinctive, character-rich diver that wears its heritage openly, as at home in the water as it is under a cuff.
